I have a pile of rear roll bar trims. Polishing off or stripping it only brings out the flaws. I was thinking about sending them off for chrome. Has anybody do this yet? Top movement might not scuff up the chrome like it does the anodizing. We know they were done as cheap as possible.

Chrome will only show the flaws, you must polish 1st It will not fill in

Hey Mark may I offer a 'cheap as possible' option ?
I discovered that the windshield trim I had was not presentable.
As a temporary fix, I painted the parts 'aluminum' color.
Maybe people are being polite but not one person ever commented
or seemed to notice that this was not the original anodised finish.
Maybe not ideal for roll bar trim but cold be suitable for some cars.

Actually the silver does look good.

I’ve seen Rory’s car in person. The trim, as well as everything else, looks great.

CeraKote has a chrome. That might a option worth exploring.
