I'm about to embark on cleaning out the fuel system. The car (72 super beetle) has been sitting for a number of years. Any tips or tricks?

take out the old gas, replace the few pieces of fuelline (it is a beetle....) and a new fuel filter. (there can be an extra one below tank and inline) Use hoseclamps when putting it back together. New gas. that is it for now.
Oilchange, clean sparkplugs and start her up ! And then work from there....
