I have a set of anodized aluminum window frames that need to be refinished, anyone know of vendors that refinish these?

I have a quote from King of Trim for $1,700 which I can't really swing, hoping to find a less expensive option.

Thanks!
wes
I replaced mine with new from Porsche, don’t remember what I paid although I’m sure I didn’t play that much.

Call up Shaun at True6 or sand and polish and take it to a local annodizer (not easy to find these days).

I spend a fair amount having some trim replayed and then I purchased new ones from Sunset. Waisted $.

Thanks for the responses.

Unfortunately I don't believe these are available new, so refinishing or finding better used ones is going to be required.

You can always try this place in Oceanside: https://elite-metalfinishing.com/
I have not used them but, I'm going to be looking for some plating here in the next few days as well.
Or here: https://www.chromeplatingusa.com/ in Escondido

It's not cheap and gets more costly the more delicate and awkward your pieces are. Trim pieces need to be handled carefully and take up a bunch of space. Last set I had done locally was something around $600. Not a 914, but similar in size/shape.

Find a local shop you can put your hands on the finished pieces before taking them.

Thanks for the reference but I'm actually talking about frames like this below. Sorry if I wasn't clear - I do appreciate the effort to help.

Mike! I emailed Elite, will let everyone know what I hear back.

Will try the other shop later today as well.

Thanks for the leads.

@Tdskip

I think you need to take them apart and remove and steel rivets and brackets. Assemblies do not anodize well as corrosive fluids are trapped in joints and seams.
Ask the shop doing the work.

Nice car @simonjb , even if not a 914. Grin.

Those turned out very-very nicely.

'68 911 right ? one year only.
My brother just sold a pair of NOS window frames (alum) last week.
Off to California,still in wrappers.
Sold for more than your replate quote.
Strange coincidence.

Good eyes! Yep - one year only although the anodized vs polishing issue remains the same for the later ones.
