What is the best cover-brand and model of a cover for a porsche 914 that is going to be left outside sitting on the driveway. In Texas so heat and rain are the main factors to consider. everything i look at looks like junk

I hate covers for outdoor storage. They can cause damage to paint if they don’t breath properly. Do you have room in your driveway to put a shelter? Costco sells a 10 x20 for less than $250 that can be opened at both ends and has windows and a zippered doorway on the side. Also gives you easy access if you need to work on it.

I had to keep mine outside for a year - I used this one and it was terrific - held up with snow.

I built a carport for mine then put a full back on it and a top front on it. Works well, zero water gets on it. At first the condensation was falling from the ceiling but put a large plastic on the ceiling with space between the two and zero water now.

I would get one of these from HF. I keep my lawn tractor and go-karts in one, works great. $200

The ARROW type metal sheds have a propensity to 'sweat' from the ceiling too. I bolted two of them together to provide the needed length, but also had an expensive 'all weather' cover on the car, so no damage to the car occurred. However, with the salty-air marine layer coming in almost nightly, aluminum bits on some of my motorcycles didn't fare well dry.gif

Not sure if installing 1" thick hard foam sheets on the ceiling will cure the problem, maybe someone who's done it will chime in confused24.gif

I have tried several different cover from cheap to expensive. Six months in the Texas sun and they are toast.

This one has actually lasted for me. Not much in the way of protection from bumps, but does the job for rain, leaves, and dust. Dirt will work it's way in and through, but I just rinse the cover off and through it in the washer when I wash the car.
