Quick valuation question: what are 2 cv axles (with worn cv joints mounted) and 2 stub axles worth - $50?

Probably about right. Shipping is the killer. Figure about $1.50 per pound shipped because they are oversized.

Take the stub axles off and keep them for rolling around car when engine/trans is out. Without them you will destroy your rear bearings. Check your axles closely. Inboard CV's are usually in the best shape and can be reused. Outboard are more than likely shot.

Good tips-I’m going to try to return these to recoup some of my losses - maybe I can pick up some stub axles locally. . . sounds like 2 stub axles should be in the $25- $35 range-right?
