I want to lower the rear end and want to know if bringing down the ring will lower the height the same ratio. If it goes down 3 rings which is about 2" will the ride height go down the same? Thanks in advance.

Yes. You are pretty much just moving the whole spring down around the body of the shock, which means the top of the spring will move down the same amount and the body will simply follow.

Sort of ...

Note that the shock attaches farther from the suspension pivot point than where the wheel hub attaches. I think the ratio is something like 1.25. Meaning 1.25" suspension movement where the shock attaches to the trailing arm = 1" movement at the wheel. So if you move the sprint platform on the shock by 1.25", it will lower the car about 1".

After discovering that Konis offered near zero rear height adjustment I switched
to Bilsteins and guessed at ring position.
This is with ring in third groove up.
Alignment and corner weighting no issues.
I wanted low....I got low.
Front slightly lower. Within 25 (correction 9 pounds ! ) pounds at each corner.
No rubbing issues. My front spoiler did touch down on my driveway
apron once.
