1978 ROW 3.0 CIS

I bought this engine from a world member Koozy, who bought it from a local GGR racer, whom I contacted, and he bought it from another GGR racer who built the motor. Got it off of a PCA GGR ad and kept as a spare motor but never used.

The good - stored inside, 0 miles, ROW large port motor, turns freely. Mostly complete.
The bad - no history of the build, 0 miles so the motor isn’t broken in or anything

I did a leak down on it and it was a worthless exercise. You can’t do a leak down on a motor that hasn’t been broken in. Plugs never fired. Cap never fired.

Sold as a core. As Is.

Great project for the engine builder who can pull it back apart, assess what is there, and maybe upgrade the cams? Not bad for a core. No oil anywhere. Lots of upside! Was going to use it in my 2.4 /6 but not anymore.

I’ve turned the motor by hand every few months.

Happy to answer any questions.

Not shipping. Don’t ask.

I think the pending is for another buyer. I had to talk to “the boss” about making the purchase first.

Sorry for the confusion. I have a pending buyer not mentioned above and back up interest from Andres.

I’ve agreed to hold the motor here through January to allow the buyer to arrange pickup.

Thanks for all the interest!

It’s super easy to ship. Just tell buyer to have them send a truck with a lift gate and pallet Jack. Usually adds $50-75 for that type of residential pickup but you won’t have to touch a thing. Just secure the engine with a couple cheap nylon straps to the pallet.

Thanks. I shipped a /4 2.0 to Shoe. Worked fine. If all falls through with 1 and 2 it’s something to consider. Thanks again.
