I gave a Hottie a ride last night on my 2nd run. She was doing the Oh My GOD OH MY GOD OH SHIT!!!
I think between your Passenger and mine we could have the makings of a good Porn sound track.
Then she skipped back to her STS boy friend yapping something about the Porsche is WAY faster than yours.

They allow passengers in SCCA autocross?
Andyrew
Jul 17 2005, 09:04 AM
Yup. Thus the reason we went to scca.
No passanger restriction except helmets.

Jul 17 2005, 09:08 AM
Passengers must be 12 years old with parental concent.
(Can't you remember when you were 11 and wanted to ride?)

Andrew,
You're supposed to break down on a remote area when carrying a PYT.
Just a joke Dan!
You may want to come and get the slicks soon as I'm likely going to postpone the V8 meet 2-3 weeks. That is unless you, dave, and Scott Pickering don't mind having the only 914's there...
Andyrew
Jul 17 2005, 02:11 PM
I dont mind having a small meet... but thats because I already requested it off.. lol
Unless of course theres an auto x that day.. hehehe.

Jul 17 2005, 03:16 PM
Ok.... i've never raced autoX - but, isnt it annoying that you never really get up to any speed? I hear that v8 just DYING to be opened up.......
I want a video of a run through the gears.... don't even care if it's all in a straight line

I just want to hear that thing!

Want to AX for pink slips? I'd love to have a V8 914.

Looks like a blast to drive.

Let me put on the slicks. Give me a couple years to learn how to drive better.
I'd love to have a track 4 banger!

I'm your Huckleberry. We really need to weasel a way onto the show PINKS. Screw that drag racing crap. 4 runs heads up no PAX.
As far as not getting any speed in an Autocross????? Shit you need to ride in the red neck Racer. Flash the 5700 shift lite 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd. If I hit the rev limiter in the top of 3rd I just pull it out and change the shift lite to 6500. Flashed it once in 3rd. So how fast is that? @ over 80 flew through the lane change feature before lifting.. hard to straight line brake going into a 60ft slalom. That scare most anybody.
I'll have you saying OMG Holy shit or something like that.
Andyrew
Jul 17 2005, 08:15 PM
You all could hear the engine.
I hit 40 in 2nd... I probably hit 60. Not to impressive, It was my first time out I was really just learning the course.
I've hit 85 at another auto x in dads car..
but.. like Joe said..

Or screaming and giggling...
You want more speed? go to a track. Im perfectly content racing my car at the auto x.
I think I could make it dedicated... I honestly had more fun autoxing the car then at the wcc track.

Glad to see you are having fun Andrew. I have always thought of you as a "good kid". The SCCA scene is a whole different ballgame. You will enjoy it.
Here in Diego,
they build 1.4 mile AutoX tracks. Not very friendly for 2.0 914's, but a V8 would kick some serious ASS..LOL

Screaming and giggling is OK if you are a cutie.
If you are a big hairy guy holy shit will be just fine. Or damn that was cool is also an acceptable response.
Yea Qualcom stadium is huge. I gotta get back out that way again.

Wow brad, dont make me want to move! *drools over thought of 1.4 mile auto x track. Then wakes back up over the thought of rising oil temps.*

Thanks for the compliment.

Andrew,
When I'm away, you can be sure that my attitude is in the shitter. I try and stay away from everyone when I have a bad attitude, not just the BBS.
You know first hand: you and the young adults your age (Grasshopper for instance) will be the ones to carry on the 914 torch after us 30/somethings are long gone. I know exactly what it feels like to AutoX at age 16+ in a 914. I was lucky enough to be around it at the same age you are now. It heavily influenced my life and direction (for bad and good) I may not wrench on them every day, but they have not left my life. Nor will they ever.

I understand that Brad. And Im glad you've made that choice. So are the rest of us.
You are a great guy that thinks for more than himself.
But im going to stop complimenting you now, dont want to turn this into a brad love thread.
