Just picked up a set of weber 44 Idf carbs and 2 of the aux venturis have damage . Can the ventures be machined down to remove the damage (all 4 the same height) Shorter?

Also the main jet stacks are Short? Is the jet holders available in both short and long? Any preferences in performance?

I noticed one carb has a notch in the top cover in the inside diameter near the bore. any idea what this was for and the other carb does not have this?

just replace the AVs there should be plenty of parts around...someone here will probably have some extras.
the Emulsion Tube Holder / stacks are fine with good filters..
