I have an excellent original condition set or Factory 2.0 Heat Exchangers 75 and 76 model. I also hear they are for 1.8 Liter engines too ?

I had a 914 expert look at these an he said he has not seen a set so nice and nothing is broke or bent or dented nor rusty. Perfect if your going for a Concours type original car build and need factory. I have not cleaned and the stainless steel looks almost new. I can send more photos direct email or pm me.
Thanks

$995. for the pair Shipped Conus.
PM and make a note under ad.

Those do not look like 914 heat exchangers at all. There isn't even a provision for connecting them to the engine....
bretth
There is a smallish 2 into 1 header that connects these to the heads. These came on 75 and 76 only.

VERY interesting! My 75 had replacements SS on them so was baffled on this. How available are the header parts?

Here are the headers , should be lots of them around yet, R & L versions are slightly different
Ignore the custom aftermarket muffler bit

Correct these are just the Heat Exchangers and that is very nice of you to offer up the headers to a potential buyer.
Hope someone can use and appreciate these and condition they are in.

Correct you are.

The late style exhausts are probably in the cleanest condition than any I have ever seen. I am sure a concours quality 1975-76 2.0L owner will cherish these.

FYI, those 75-76 'headers' that mate to the heads are actually designed as thermal reactors. No kidding. They are intentionally heavy steel to absorb head heat, and made to burn off residual unburnt fuel as an emissions 'feature'. Its one reason why the later heads are in less demand from the 73-74 heads...they suffered more heat exposure.

Thanks for the kind words I agree.
Also this is great information and makes sense.

I might ad that in person they look they came off a 2k mile car.
I hope someone can use these. I looked at some comps on line for much more then my asking price and only half as good.
Does anyone know are these NLA from Porsche so just used or aftermarket available.

those are 75-76 2.0/1.8 HEs without the connectors to the exhaust ports.

I can vouch for these parts.
I've looked them over in person. You'll never find better.
