Would anyone even think of putting this in a 914? I mean with its rarity, it would be a once in a lifetime build!
"not equipped with any internal components", seems like a big hurdle for a rare engine.

Looks like from a CanAm car, cool sound but not the same as a 917. It's only 500HP so this is from the restricted HP cars 1974 on after they banned the 917/30.

I believe the engine was displayed at the then Alfa Romeo headquarters in
Englewood Cliffs, NJ many years ago

Use a 4.2 40v like what I have, shorter and lighter...not quite as cool though
