I know this topic has been discussed many times. But I've searched the forum and can't find a definitive answer.

Can anyone confirm that the QuickJack BL-7000SLX will work for the 914?

Looking at the specs, it shows that the 7000SLX is the same length as the 5000SLX, Which I have.

I think the EXT versions may be too long.

Total collapsed height is only 1/2" higher than the 5000SLX

So the 7000 SLX should fit just fine.

I think you would be good.

Thanks Olympic! As far as I can tell, the 7000 is 1" longer and 1/2" higher.

I just noticed that it's about 20 lbs heavier though, so probably the 5000 makes more sense just from a portability perspective.

The 7000SLX is overkill for our 914s. I have the 5000 SLX and it fits the 914s pick up points perfectly. Problem is, the SLX models are usually too short for any other car. The EXT models are longer and fit most cars. Quick Jack also sells extensions for their 5000 and 7000SLX models that fixes that problem, for about $275. YMMV
