Have an acquaintance here on Long Island in need of a shop that knows these cars, Mid Atlantic may not be out of the question.

Translog (York PA) is very good
Aircooled Racing (York/Harrisburg) is very good
I'm sure there are closer folks to Long Island though.

Gaswerks Garage.... Paramus, NJ. Gaspare Fasulo knows 914’s very well. The only downside.....they’re not cheap.
