I'm missing the linkage shown in the picture.

Can one buy this part or must the whole flapper part be purchased?

Is there a common work around for those missing this part?

What does the stock set-up look like? Does the cable end just get held in with friction against the "spring clip"?

You need the part circled in addition to the barrel nut. The cable end inserts into the barrel nut and the 4mm bolt clamps it in place.

I could make them, but think it wouldn't be worthwhile in that there are quite a few unserviceable units they could be salvaged from.
