Opened up the '74 this weekend. Well, looks like all the others out here so I'll follow my predecessors.
I was on the fence on whether to pull the outer console and put in the entire wheel house repair plate or just go around it. After opening things up going whole hog is the right approach -not enough metal. There's still some gray in the upper tunnel so that's a positive.

Yes. I have the new well, longs and some other pieces along with Brad's kit so I hope it'll all work out. Engine is ready to go back in so I'm shooting to have the rust carnage repaired by June. Only want to do it once. Not racing or anything -just an old guy.
Gonna dig into the inner console carefully. Hopefully that's in tact.
