This was well worth the 10 minute run time. I know which brand I'll be looking for in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP2XqXYEZkU

That explains why automotive paint stores always sell 3m. It is pretty noticeable how much longer some sandpaper lasts. The Harbor Freight is dirt cheap but is lucky to last 5 minutes which is fine when you a some really gummy paint that clogs anything.
Stuff from Home Depot is a little better, they don't have much that it is good for automotive. Auto supply paper is mid grade as well.

This 3m Super Flex is amazing. It is pretty expensive

I bought a pack at either Home Depot or AutoZone years ago, because that was all they had in the grit I needed. It cuts like crazy wet, I can't remember it ever tearing or loosing grit. Great all those small parts that just destroy sandpaper. The three sheets lasted me about 2 years.

Good to know and yeah I have used 3M before and it worked good.

Last time I did drywall I used this screen like 3M sand paper.

That reminds me of when I was schooling my son on quality and sources, and I told him that only 3M makes tape. The other stuff is just rolls of somewhat sticky junk.
