Does anyone know the purpose of the spring in the distributor drive? Just curious.
Full Version: Distributor query.
It keeps the drive firmly pressed down while still giving it a little slack. It's a needed part.

Very kind but I have one. I'm just gathering all my engine stuff so I can bolt it back together when the body is in for paint. (At least that's the plan!) Thanks again!
