"JEALOUSY DRIVE, 2021, Northern California!!!!"

Southern California members are getting together for a drive on May 22nd.... and .... well, I'm jealous! Are you?

I was thinking of driving to So Cal to meet up with these awesome guys..... but.... "Silly Robert! The weather in Northern California is EPIC lately! Drive Local!!!!"

Final Details:

* Meet at 10:00am in Pacifica at the "Pacific Manor" Safeway[/b] (484 manor Plaza, Pacifica, CA). This address is for the "Colombo's Delicatessen" located in the Safeway shipping mall. We can buy lunch here to take with us..... or not.

Note: there are TWO Safeways in Pacifica..... ours is the one on MANOR DRIVE. It's the first exit as you come down into Pacifica from Hwy 280.

* Depart at 10:30am. (this places us in the Santa Cruz area closer to lunch.... and makes it easier for some to arrive on time)

* Drive south down Highway 1 along the coast. **** Destination is Davenport Roadhouse, located at 1 Davenport Ave, Davenport, CA. ****

* Lunch idea: Bring your own lunch. Or.... buy lunch at Colombo's deli at 10am.

* Once we grow tired of the gorgeous coastal view, we will follow Tony's (RetroRacer) lead to Canepa Design, where they are expecting a small group to visit their main showroom.

* Drive home from Canepa.

**** Note the start time change..... meet at 10am, leave at 10:30am. ****

We are about 2 hours from the start - what time is "early"?

Ok I'm putting this one down as a goal.
The car is close but needs brakes completely gone through still.

My wife is even interested in going along, our kids and grandkids live in Redwood City so we have a close by starting point.

May 22nd is still the date.

9:30 meet up in Pacifica (Safeway at 12 Manor Plaza), with a 10am start to Santa Cruz.

This lands us in Santa Cruz area closer to noon so that we can grab lunch.....

We are also considering a short drive to Canepa from the lunch spot.

Any South bay folks that would like to drive up to Pacifica together are invited to meet up in the parking lot at Paper Moon Coffee Company, 5237 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Santa Clara at 9 am. Hope you can join us. PM me if you need to.

Is this just for 914s or could I join with a 911?

Bring what you got. I happen to know there will be at least one other 911

PLS READ: Note for folks planning on heading to Canepa in the PM:

1) they are generously allowing us to look around both the consignment and museum areas. If you've never been before, bring the best camera you have and try not to drool on the cars

2) COVID protocols: they are only allowing 5 OR LESS customers in the building at any one time - So we will have to behave like grown ups and SELF ORGANIZE into groups of 5 or less to go in. Clearly we need to TIME LIMIT the groups, otherwise it'll be a drag for those of us hovering outside.... Depending on numbers, I'd suggest 20 minute slots? Note that we don't have exclusive rights to viewing - actual real customers might want to go in, so that might limit group numbers / time too

3) Masks are required while in the building

4) You will have to fill out a COVID entry form before entering, contact details and such

5) They are open until 5pm

Great group.... great weather..... no accidents..... private viewing at Canepa (Thanks again, Tony!)....
