Does it matter if my transmission fluid is cold when I change it or should I drive it a few miles before draining?

I know it'll flow better with it warm, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't a reason to change it cold.

Since I'm asking, do most change motor oil warm or cold?

Keep in mind I'm in SoCal so cold does not mean 15F or even 35F.

Not reaky but it will drain faster if warm.
Remember to remove the fill plug first. They can be tough to remove. I have used an impact to temove some or a two foot cheater bar. The steel plug like to corrode to the alloy case
