Every time I see a shot like this I think about the bottom finish question. Every time I see one of these cleaned original bottoms it looks like the factory finish is undercoating with body color overspray, fender wells and engine bay painted of course.
How much overspray got on the bottom was dependent on how far the paint guy reached under the car. I do not think any bottoms were completely sprayed body color.
