I get it, and yes it is against the law.
Stupid - no license
Stupid - if it is real reckless operation, but that gets slapped onto all sorts of items and is very subjective.
Here is my gripe.
Enforce the correct laws and things get a lot better. Yes even Germany has their share of accidents, and they do have speed limits, but they also have stretches with no speed limits. And this is what I found over there, keep right except to pass, and everyone is respectful. Why they enforce the keep right law, it helps so much.
You can have a Merc van towing a car under a cover, looks an awful lot like a Porsche. going a whole 65 MPH in the far right lane, and getting passed by a Merc in the middle lane doing 150 MPH, while being passed by a McLaren, a GT2RS and a Panamera Turbo going somewhere north of 175 MPH. Was hoping to see a Ranger Rover with a Camera or two. But sadly no. Everyone was happy, everyone was safe, everyone understood the rules of the road. It was driving Nirvana on a public highway, Run I made on a Holiday weekend from Stuttgart to Munich. I was the guy in the S class Merc. Would have preferred to be in the McLaren, but love the one your with. Latter saw the Truck and Porsche on the road just on the other side of my bench while enjoying a
and some local food. 911 GTish thing with a bunch of sensors and camera camo, to keep the pictures in the press.
Enforce the correct laws and this will allow everyone to enjoy the drive. Drive responsibly and respectfully.
BTW, this morning on the way into work, I was passed on the left by a Mercury Barge doing 80 on a two lane, through the intersection with oncoming traffic. That incident put at least 10 people lives at risk, I did not do a head count just the car count involved. That was truly breaking several laws.
Passing in a non passing zone!
Reckless operation or at least incredulous operation, not a law, but good enough for me.
Speeding 80 in a 45
None signal usage
I am sure I could find a few more if I was not assessing the situation and the options I had tactically.
When I read the title I thought it was a factory test driver. I was hoping for a late career change opportunity.
