Hi Brad....
I will be there. I was wondering if any 914 guys in the Seattle area would show up. See you there. Eddy

I expect quite a few 914ers will show.
I have a ton of stuff from a '75 car... from dash panels, to sail panel trim, to roll bar padding, to spare tire, to bumpers, to fresh air blower, to windshield washer stuff.... yada yada yada... all the stuff I didn't think anyone would want... but it always depends on where we are at with what type of project..... I'm not setting up a table, but I hope I can give some of my stuff to people who can use it, and maybe even make make a couple bucks so I can pick up some of someone else's stuff, or trade something....
At the very least, I'll get to meet some people and see a bunch of P-cars and parts. I'm looking forward to it!!

Change of project so I'll be there with:
A pair of Eric's nice rebuilt rear trailing arms with 5 bolt hubs and rotors.
Pair of good used rear calipers.
Pair of rebuilt front calipers with less than 10 miles on them.
Rebuilt side shifter transaxle by John Walker.
Good used side shifter transaxle.
Good used tailshifter transaxle.
One Pedrini wheel.
Pair of 14X5-1/2" Fuchs with tires.
Four polished 16X6 Fuchs (may be sold already)
Nardi Torino leather steering wheel with hub.
Triad exhaust with dual tips.
Maybe: stainless heat exchangers, and a 2 liter core engine
Rear view door mirror.
Center reflector.
Door panels.
Bumpers.
Rear deck lid.
Probably a few other items.
I also plan to have my laptop running a few quicktime movies showing flare work excerpts from my next DVD.

I'll be there with a friend. Last time I was there I picked up a pristine fuse block cover, for FREE.
I'm looking for another set of tires, around a 205/50-15 size would be nice. Just something I can burn up...ok, ok, putt around on. I no likey my newer 195/65-15's.
I'd be interested in the sail panel trim if it's not to bad.

Well I have decided to make the trek up that long winding black ribbon that leads man to his hopes and dreams on the far end.
The CAMP 914 support vehicle is loaded to the max. Tables strapped to the top rack, boxes loaded with pilot lights and porcelain Porsches, boxes of carpet sets, tubes of trunk shox and sail panel vinyl. Euro turn signal lenses and light kits too, trunk hole cups and stainless steel exchangers.
Come one, come all and marvel in the goodies to be found. Leave your money and put on a smile, you can't go far maybe a mile, without enjoying your 914, and the thrill that it brings.

Oh man it sounds like i might need to bring a trailer full of money. The problem with these swap meets is you come home with more stuff than what you took up. Sounds like fun. I plan to be there.

If anyone has a request for a certain 914 part let me know, if I can fit it in the support vehicle I will bring it. I am bringing up a 2.0 motor from Costa Mesa for Kevin to drool over, or maybe he will
instead.

Sometimes people can surprise you can't they. That's too cool of her K.
Would anyone be interested in a set of 7x15 and 8x15 Fuchs with Tires? All 4 have center caps. Tires are BRAND NEW Kumho's 205/50's front and 225/50's rear. Very nice set. Perfect for a 944, 911 or 914 with flares ect. $1000, I can bring them down with me tomorrow morning. I would be open to offers, but would almost want to make sure they would be a sold item so I wouldn't have to take them home. I have too many fuching fuchs right now!
Also have a lone 15x7 fuch if anyone is interested.

I sure did, and thanx for the advice. my neighbors got tired of laughing at me working on my car, so they are assisting me...they are both racing guys who go to Bremerton Raceway on saturdays and they are intriuged by the "simpleness" of the 914 motor. I never knew my car was fuel injected!!
I doubt i can get it running for the trip to seattle though.
Once "we" get her going again, i'll go to that place you recommended.

Okay, So I had the CAMP support vehicle all loaded and ready to go. I had my tables strapped to teh rack on top. Driving home from CAMP the tables start flopping around. So I stop tighten, still flopping. Stop at Home Depot and more straps, still flopping. So fuck it. I go home and unpack everything, put the tables inside on the bottom and reinstall all of the goodies in the back. Well I was able to get rid of one box. Hope to be there bright and early.

i could put a "i'm a turd" sign on the back window and you would never know. do you pull into the reststop just just before olympia? did you remember the frame to door seals?
k

Jul 22 2005, 10:34 PM
Kevin I will bring my own cup. I cannot find my box of door seals. So they will be left behind.
One of the reasons is that CAMP has expanded. So it is a mess. Going to start getting things organized now that there is more space.

Eddy! If God willing and the creek don't rise, maybe I'll finally get to meet you. I'll get there around 11:00, after I gorge on caffeine and the artificial preservatives upon which I thrive. The upper lot is the best, if you can find a spot. The lower lot is rather busy, and if you park there people will be making offers on your car all day. Yeah man, I like getting there late for those closing-time deals, because ya never know when you'll need a few more large greasy paperweights (or even some bright and shiny ones).
Dino! Serving your server on a Saturday morning? Do they always need that, kinda like cows needing to be milked every morning? You should call it the Darigold server! Oh well, there's a PCA autocross or another breakfast comin' up soon. (perhaps that was a poor choice of words)
Hey, is the word "thier" in your sig German for "their", or is it the German "thier" for "resident of this area"? The Spanish Inquisition wants to know.

Gonna be there for a while this morning. I'm trying to leave the money home but that's really hard. It feels like I'm sitting on a bunch of frogs. I'm sure if I took my wallet out it would have wings.
These swap meets are good for building character cause if you can avoid buying you'll be stronger for it.
Of course, I could always use an extra, well you know. If there are some 2 liter heads I could nab them for the next engine in 2010 or 12. Spare tranny. Rubber products. Rear bumper pad.
I better go raid the rathole account.
