Less than 3K on this Ball Joint but the rubber just cover is torn. Know of anyone that sells them? Or DoI bite the bullet and replace the ball joint? TIA
Mark Henry
You could try a aircooled bug shop, West Coast Metric used to have a boot kit.
Only thing was the kit cost more than half the price of a new joint.

Let me check, may have a spare in warehouse.

I've been wondering if these would work myself, but I haven't tried yet:

That's a dang good tip. If Mark doesn't have one I'll try this. Can't go too far wrong at that price, eh? beerchug.gif

They don't fit but it was worth a try. They are too large which make sense since they are for a Bus and that is a larger/heavier vehicle. beerchug.gif

Just a thought, but a boot shouldn't tear that easily. If it's one one of mine I'll take it back and cover it. If it's not you should contact the vendor as that's not right.

Thx for the consideration Mark but it was a tow truck driver that wrapped his cable around the control arm/ball joint intersection. headbang.gif He said he couldn't reach the eyelet. Right. He is no longer employed there. BTW: I did look for one on your new website and didn't find one. confused24.gif I'm a computer cripple and probably overlooked it. beerchug.gif
