That's is the same as a type 3 VW and works, just wire color is a little different.

I am in the process of replacing mine. First, the wiring has different colors wo be sure to map them before you do any cutting. Next, you will have to remove the pins and resolver them to the new lever wires. Don't cut the wires too short, there is room in in the lever housing if you need to pull the slack out. Last, the pin connector housing is brittle - I broke mine trying to get the lid back on and it is hard to get a replacement.
