What does the smart money think about flares on a rear 6?

VIN indicates it’s a real 6 and I really like ivory. All 914s should have euro rear lenses like this one. It states it has stock wheels so the post is inaccurate. Ugly white front valance that should be black. Are we sure they’re steel flares? I’m guessing it’s worth at least $65k but haven’t seen the car in person so it’s just a guess.

Wheels are 15's. Has rust in center of trunk, bottom of front quarter panels and pass door finger cutaway for door handle. Hell hole is surface rust and paint chipping around engine. Body will need to be stripped to bare. Flares are steel. Door bottoms look OK, was not able to see inside doors. Headlight tubs had discoloration from standing water, will need to be blasted and painted. No leakdown on engine, so who knows..

Interesting... you ask for the "smart money" opinion of the flares, but it appears you've seen this car in person?

From the photos? Looks like a straight OG color 6er with decent trim & interior, a later engine and steel flares... if a PPI shows minor issues I would not be surprised to see the hammer fall at close to $60K.
