tl;dr: last week my car was bent by a 17-year-old kid driving his giant rented electric scooter against traffic and on the sidewalk, which is illegal in our city. as i was preparing to turn left, he came from the right at high speed, did not stop at the crossing, locked up his wheels for 20 feet and still hit with enough force to trash the fender and rocker panel. luckily he wasn't hurt but the fender is pretty screwed up.
