Can someone please tell me what this is in these two pics?

Any suggestions why the oil pressure gauge isn’t working? Temp gauge also not. They should be functional because they were recently. We’ve got something wired wrong apparently. Tips?

Note that the 914 did not come from Porsche with a pressure gauge, so that's something someone added.

The larger brass-colored item is the sender for the pressure gauge. The smaller switch with the wire likely switches your pressure idiot light in the fuel combo gauge.

If pressure and temperature gauges - located in the center console, yes? - both stopped working at the same time, I'd suggest your issue lies behind the center console. Maybe a power or ground wire that came loose?
