Have you probed those rusted areas to make sure it is not rusted through?

Only hole I could find, is where you put the gas nozzle in.

This tank looked ok till i started to probe it.

This tank looked ok till i started to probe it.
Mine doesn't look like the surface of the Moon like the one in your picture.
Granted, it's not a real close up picture.
