i have the super duper pad from pelican parts and the spray can of high temp resistent glue from germany which says it takes 10" to 'set up'

do you spray pad and metal wall?
do you wait 10' before you put the pad on the wall?
do you cover the engine with cloth before you start spraying all the glue?
yada yada-anyone been there done that?

It sounds like contact cement that requires about 10 min.s to get tacky. Apply to both clean surfaces. Wait 10 min.s & then stick the surfaces together. Be careful with the initial alignment since once the surfaces are together there's no going back. Mask off appropriate surfaces. Don't apply too sparingly.
