Looking for the original Trip Odometer Reset Knob for a 914 - only thing missing from my '76 to make it complete.

Trip Odometer works fine, just have to use a pair of pliers to turn the small square end of the reset cable to the odometer.

76 had black plastic one that looks like a wire nut. Will look around.

I have the cable and it is working fine. Actually I can lay on seat, crawl under dash and twist the square end with my fingers to reset. Just a pain to do so.

Would rather just find the knob on the end so you can save yours for someone who needs the whole piece.

Part number for the metal knob is 901 741 191 22. Asse has them for $29. Shop around.

I think late were plastic. The metal knobs are not easy to find. No reason for them to be rare but only about 1 in 10 of the gauges I get seem to have the cable and knob. Actually half that have the cable don't have the knob.

New cables are crazy money.
