Full Version: WTB: Bosch dual vacuum advance/retard
I am looking for this part. Bought a used one it worked for a little while then failed. Need a working one
there is a part # on the arm
Should have 979 on arm.
Vacuum pots are one of the holy grail of the original distributors parts.
Do not know of a source for new.
Found this just now, I wonder if it could be adapted to work and what performance difference there would be?

The 74 only uses one port...the retard port. But I wonder if a port could be retrofitted as long as the internal diaphragm is good.

My throttle body must have come off of a 73 because I have ports for both advance and retard my car is a 74 though I just put back to FI not long ago
