My 914 2.0 has rust (really?) in the upper firewall and I need to cut out most of the sides /bottom right up to the lower horizontal seam. I want to buy a firewall or even good pieces of one to do this repair

I think Auto Atlanta has NOS firewalls - reasonably priced as I recall as well (because they're seldom needed). Give George a call at AA. He'll sort you out, if you're looking for a NOS panel ; )
