Looking for a sanity check on removing the parking brake cables.
Is this the linch pin for getting the cable off?

Should these pins slide out?
Mine seem to be quite well firmly adhered.

I have the jam nuts completely backed off at the firewall, so there is plenty of slack in the assembly but can’t seem to remove anything.

Yes, cables slide out from back end, so you must remove these pins to extract cable.
