Passenger side long restored and car paint by Scotty B with Custom Raby Aircooled Technology built motor--2666cc-- JE forged Pistons (LN103 mm cylinders), ARP head studs, ARP thru-bolts, ceramic lifters (LN engineering), Carbs--Dellortos DRLA 45s, Mallory Unilite ignition, Valves are stainless by Marnal, Cylinder heads—fully ported 44X36 built by HAM, Pushrods—Manton Chromoly, Oil pump Type 1 Gene Berg/Scahdek 30mm gears, Cooling System MassIVe DTM in fiberglass converted for 914 use—dyno at 173hp with 186 flb torque, new in packaging Tangerine exhaust. Engine was previously in a VW Baja
Goodies included: a tow bar, new carpet kit, new Getty 914 5 Guage 911 Style Dashboard in box, new sway away axels in box, new Tangerine exhaust, new replacement rubber assortment in packaging, new custom machined aluminum driver side foot plate, new vinyl targa rain cover, new fiberglass speaker panels, new aluminum center caps for fuchs rims, motor goodies include hambergers oil filter adapter with Earls billet sandwich style oil thermostat, dual setrab fanpack—odds and end extras: a good set of door panels, window chrome was replaced but there are extras, extra tail lights, a pleathra of Earls hose fittings, too many little extra bits to list.

Known issues:
Missing VIN Plate--A replacement can be ordered: link
Crack in long by parking break handle
Driver side jack plate rust

Unless I'm missing something regarding the one driver side pic from underneath that looks almost like a patch was welded in, but it could just be the coating flaked off this looks like a hell of a deal.

Is that a type 1 motor in a 914, interesting

The floor does have a couple spots that have been patched.

It is a Type 4 2,666cc with a modified DTM cooler. For simplicity sake it would probably be easier to convert it to stock cooling.

what is the paint code (if repainted stock color) ?

It is supposed to be signal orange. The original color.

I always thought it was signal orange….. Apparently it is Phoenix Red which I believe is the original color.

Hmmmmm - this engine would fit in the 912. Rest of the car would be free at that point.
