SirAndy
you think this is safe to drive without bracing? after all, that's where your front a-arms are mounted!

Its not that hard of a fix though... weld in about 10 feet of bar in that to make a strong box, put on a sherdian front piece, and you've lost 150+ lbs!...

Doesn't need to be, the mid V12 Lambo Miura front and back flipped up. 1 piece has a "cool" factor and is a simple body piece. Like race cars, it would allow more access to susp.

second guessing people, you will drive you screwy.gif

I am really suprised that the car even sits there, with the weight of the car on the wheels. There must be no downward pressure on the front pivot point of the a-arm, with all of the wieght transfer at the rear pivot.

You guys can sure tell I'm not a structural engineer.

If this is all true, why do people with "tubed" front ends always put about 200 pounds of steel tubing in front of the bulkhead?

Is it possible that a few small diameter tubes just to hold the front a-arm pivot points in place would be sufficient? If so, a one piece roger sheridan nose piece might really be a way to go with a track car.

Comments?

idea.gif Build a cage in the front end to give it the proper support, hose the " bonnet" down with some mold release and make a one piece C.F. front end, then do the same top the rear idea.gif then pull a mold off of the doors and mold them into the front and rear, paint it red rolleyes.gif
