Full Version: Cap this off (1975 SMOG pump line)?

Friday! Finally, hope it was good week for everyone.

The new to me 1975 has A disconnected line that I believe would’ve been for an air/smog pump. The smog pump has gone missing, and the car seems to run pretty well but when I trace the lines they do appear to go into the cylinder head still and I wanna make sure I’m not creating a lean condition.

Can I simply cap this for now?

Thanks!

The check valve is still in place so theoretically it is sealed but Id throw a vinyl cap on the inlet.
OR pull the whole thing & put bolts in the air injection holes

agree.gif it can pull some air in into the exhaust. Rubber hose with a ball bearing can work.
