Need help from the experts where this bolt is located in the engine/transmission area?
I drove my 914 to the storage shed and when it was pushed into winter storage this large bolt was on the ground under the rear engine/transmission area.
The car is so low & can't crawl under it until I get it up in the air or probably next spring, warm weather.

It's 12mm dia. x 30mm overall long with 125 thread x 17mm bolt head.
Any quick idea where it goes before the 914 is started up??

I think seat belt bolts might be standard thread.

Looks like a trunk hinge bolt. Weird...the gray thread locker material looks fresh.

Having attached and re-attached my seat belts too many times, I vote for seat bolts.

Yes, seat belt bolt, the collar is too narrow for the engine lid bolt. Plus the size is correct for the seat belt bolt.

Or, could be the "Uni-Bolt" that holds the entire 914 together?

Sounds good it could be seat belts. Was worried for the motor.

Another vote for seat belt bolt, and perhaps never used, since the dot of thread locker looks undisturbed. Maybe Franz dropped one on the assembly line, and it was trapped all those years.

@TJB/914
It is the seat belt bolt that holds the loop on the B pillar. It is 7/16 fine thread.
