Well it's not like they don't have access to any engine they fancy; this new Hypercar will use the basic block of an in house V8, biturbo, and run on a non-gasoline fuel. They will be building the internals with a flat-plane crank (918'ish) for extra performance.
Basic block could be out of an Audi or Porsche SUV or sedan...we shall see

Pic showing the twin turbos mounted inboards in the V of the engine; indicating that they've swapped directions of intake/ exhaust paths (again 918'ish) making the packaging tighter.
I noticed the Cam (home sig) sensor (red dot) is in the exact location as on our Cayenne v8 build.
I like that they chose Goodridge brand heat-sleeve on their project; we have it protecting all wire harnesses and cables in the engine bay of our 9148GTT build

Wow, 2000 pounds of Holy Fuch! That camo pattern works pretty well

Should make racing fun to watch later this year smile.gif

Bought stock in the e fuel manufacturing over a year ago. Still waiting for it to take off. This should help.

What will help more is when ENEL (one of the major project sponsors) moves them towards the methanol-to-DME as a diesel surrogate for their powerplants... idea.gif Methanol-to-gasoline like they are currently making is a tough market.

Is that running Daytona or Le Mans?

Pic from our v8 build and the Cam sensor (red dot same spot. The large area in the upper V on these wide (90° V8) engines usually sport the starter motor up in there...not in our race build/ nor the Porsche Hyper'
Twin turbo Mercedes c63 v8, A/R Giullia v6 both run their blowers in this space. GM LS v8s like the Cayenne v8s stuff their starter motors in there>> mechanics Job Security biggrin.gif

I like that they have sloped front fenders, not that hideous high front fender that's become common on modern prototypes. Can't wait to see it race!

Agreed...I dig the sharper aero look to the frontal area as well; and forget about fender top louvres...just slice the fender tops off biggrin.gif

I know they do that to reduce the risk of blowovers. Obviously that's important. I'd prefer louvers though smile.gif
