After removing the tranny console cover, I found a fair amount of sand and dirt. There was no dust boot installed. But, I found one in my spare parts box ?
Problem is the small end has a tear and the boot itself is really thin.
So, who makes a suitable replacement ?

Nice when the link goes directly to the item in question. 914rubber is less work. You must be just about done Jim. Put in new set screws and a ball cup bushing before you button things up.

I just installed a new one from 914Rubber. Fits nice.

I still had half of the original(?) on my car, but it was hardened into what felt like rigid plastic.

Thanks Kevin, will do. Actually shifts good. Without that dust boot, quite a bit of dirt found it’s way into the console cover.
