Finally got my fresh air box rebuilt and installed . only problem is the cable is so tight it does not move well . it does not appear to be binding anywhere

is there a way to free up this cable? the ends of the wire coming out of the cable seem very rough and wondering if I spray some lube and sanded the ends would it possibly move in and out better

I hate to buy a new cable at this point this job was a royal PITA

I have good extras if you want ? Just need the length and I’ll mail it.
Free, just cover postage

Right now I am just wondering if I could get mine to move smoothly because it’s a bear to install
