I dig it! Probably one of the coolest steering wheel I’ve seen

No details…. Is there really a 914 under that thing?

Sure looks more like a VW center tunnel than a 914.

Looks like a Corvair engine to me.
Just because you put Porsche logos all over the place doesn't make it one....
its a kit car from the mid 60s.
hence the date. its a 68 aztec.
normally on a bug floor pan and with a bug engine hanging out the back.
not mid engined.
in the case of this particular one its got a type 4 engine where the type 1 would be normally in most of them.
i guess the type 4 engine is a 914 engine. could even have a 914 porsche gearbox but if it has its all turned around to be rear engined.
as far as i can tell the space where the engine would be in a mid engined car is a big black box thats under the tilt back rear section. a luggage box?
the aztec kit car was not a bad little thing.
very light. very low.
original styling inspired by the GT 40 apparently.
hence the gulf colors are not entirely token!

Look closer, pretty sure it's just a 4cyl, the intake manifold tells the story.
