What is the spacing of the Porsche letters on the engine grill? Is there a drawing or layout for these letters? I took them off without measuring them myself.

Ours have never been off the car, surprisingly they are not spaced evenly. The S is centered on the grill, the R and C are 5 inches from the S and the remaining letters are 4 3/4 inch apart with roughly 2 inches from the ends for the P and E. Go figure.

The pins on the letters don't line up all that well with the holes in the grille, so they will be a bit off, just the way it is.

Jeff,

That image is great! Thanks for posting it. first.gif

I just printed a copy and out of curiosity am going to check the spacing of my engine lid letters, which are in their original locations, never moved.

My car is a 76 which has chrome plated plastic letters. The chrome plating on some of the letters is peeling off the white plastic base. Bean counters saved their five dollars going to plastic. I have a set of chrome plated metal letters in the parts stash.
