I feel like I’m going to be so underwhelmed by the answer lol… best case, maybe I’ll just be whelmed.

No hardware. It was never completely assembled. Ergo a single part w/o any attachments. It's not an assembly.

That's what I thought, the factory must have just dropped the seal in place and ran screws in.

Could be the case, maybe is the case.

Bought a top claimed to be NOS years ago, and it had everything in place. Have no reason not to trust the seller as honest and very knowledgeable about NOS parts, and the top was packed in such a way, and in such a condition, that I am pretty sure it was NOS. Maybe he—or someone—bought the top with any missing parts and installed them before storing it? confused24.gif

I dunno, but if there's one thing I've learned with Porsche, it's to avoid absolutes. There's always an exception to what you thought you knew, and this thread is a reminder of that. Very cool.

Your hand doesn't get all black after touching it from years of Armorall being applied?
DRPHIL914
wow! how is that even possible?? amazing an NOS part like that!, needs to be on a mint survivor/preservation or restoration.

Is it an early or late top?
