**CAR APPEARS SOLD**
Car is pretty much a shell on a rolling stand (included w/ sale.) Includes all parts (and many new and duplicate parts) in boxes. Engine is GA Code 74 2.0, condition unknown, presently on a stand (also included w/ sale). Transmission, condition unknown, is an early side-type. Car is currently Miami Vice respray white, but per Porsche COA, original color was 1-year only factory special-order metallic green.
Car appears straight and solid, but there is surface rust in all the usual places, plus actual holes in the trunk, driver’s floor, jack stand pyramids, and battery tray (all new panels for these areas are included w/ sale.)
Lots of new and reconditioned parts included. Many duplicate parts. Many good parts - including a set of correct Pedrini alloys.
$4.25K invested in parts alone — (please email detailed for Excel list) — asking: $3.5K OBO (Would prefer cash, but could also do Venmo.)

The Story:
About (7) years ago I got a text early one morning about a “free” 914 for anyone who could dredge it out of the steep backyard it was derelict in. I am a 912 guy (former 912 Registry President) so I absolutely knew better, but went for it anyway… I mean, metallic green!!
When I got there, car was down a steep hill — see link above for photos of the excavation. The person I got this 914 from, had intended to build it into a track car, but obviously it never happened. Original blue and yellow plates (included w/ car, but buried in a box somewhere) wear tags from 1990.
During the time I have had this car, my strategy has been to take off a part, clear / recondition said part, and put it in a box. For any parts that could not be saved, I would find either a new or used replacement. Car comes with many boxes of parts! The only parts I can think of that are missing are a.) the sound-deadening pad that goes on the fire wall, and b.) the plywood pedal board — (although there may well be a few others.)
My plan was to make this car as cosmetically close to stock 1970 as possible, but build the later 2.0 motor into something special. You could really choose any direction you like.
I spent lots of fun nights in the garage tinkering w/ this car, but at this point, I must concede it is time for it to go to someone who can actually restore it. My asking price is less than what I have spent on parts, so in a way, the car itself is being given away for free again.
I am moving - I am a very motivated seller!!
