Hi Steve bye1.gif
For carbs, FI or both ?
How about a 2056 L-Jet ?
Curious… smile.gif

The 86B is really an aggressive "race cam", designed for higher RPM versus low-end torque. It will make some good power when coupled to the right valvetrain but I suspect you'll find that it's not a particularly "streetable" cam for a daily driver (I'm not saying it can't be used for it, but that's not what the grind is for.)

I'm running an 86B in my dual-Dellorto-equipped racer, makes good power through 6500 RPM.

I'd personally advise against it for a D-Jet implementation, since you just don't have any way to efficiently compensate for the lift/duration.

FAT makes a "EFI 440" cam for fuel injection; I'm running it in my 2056cc street car with Microsquirt. 0.398" total lift (@1.3x ratio), 252 duration, no overlap at 50-thou. Nice low-end street torque and good power through 5500, HP peaking high 4000s.

Any valve train modifications required when using this cam on a carbed 2.0 liter. Does this cam come with the cam gear? Thanks, Mike S.

I will include the cam gear, forgot about that, also not used.
Can't really speak to changes on your geometry. Really depends on what you're running now.

I'm running all stock valve train components.

Just let me know if you want it. I can't really speak to your application.

Whoever buys this, make sure you run WebCam's cam followers. Stock followers won't stand a chance against that cam's surface hardness.

most likely double valve springs are required too

I run this cam in a 2258 with 9:1 compression.
Its very driveable and pulls till about 5500 6k.
I did do the dual springs lifters and steel pushrods.
And I swapped from 2.0L to 1.7L rockers to have elephant foot adjusters.
I doubt it will work well with factory fuel injection but for everything else it works just fine.
