plus Volkswagen of America Inc with number 039 906 021 AX plus 0 280 000 052 rev.
What do I have???? Surround is nice chrome no openings for me to start opening things nor do I want to not sure what it is. Been around for years. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Looks pretty clean, externally anyways and given the rebuild sticker I would guess its probably good to go.

Easiest way to find out if it’s good is to test it in an otherwise good running car with appropriately matching FI parts.
It’s probably fine, but looks can be deceiving. I bought a NOS ECU awhile back that wasn’t functional.
