I'm thinking to add a 911 oil temp & pressure gauge to the center console of my 914. I have a gauge from a '69-'74 911. Recently got the correct temp sensor for it. But it looks like this:
Click to view attachment I'm stumped on what kind of electrical connector Porsche used on this. All my Googling brings up nothing. Can't find anything on the main 911 parts sites. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew B.

Usually a female 1/4” spade terminal will work on these.

Does the end of that connector unscrew? I think it might... If so, a ring terminal would work. The fork-shaped spade terminals would also work, and even just putting bare wire in there and screwing the end on tight would also work.

So the top of the sender measures 8mm in diameter; a 1/4" female spade connector can be made to work, but you'll need to widen / reform the mouth carefully using needle nose pliers and a small screwdriver to get a good fit. Might take a few tries to get right, but can confirm a good reliable contact can be made.
The Porsche wiring looms have a the proper connector, but not sure if this is available to buy - others may chime in here.
The end of the sender does not unscrew. It is designed to work with a slide on receptacle for any orientation of the sender once torqued home.

Can someone who has this original wire terminal/connector post a photo of it? I may be able to locate it

Just push the female spade over the little circle thing. Works fine.

Been wondering the same thing for quite some time now.
Haven't installed mine yet and would be very curious to see what a factory connector look like, even if a 1/4" spade can be made to work.

Has worked well on both of my 914s for years.

Thank you for the picture Retro. Sort of a larger spade connector.
EDIT: Doing a quick search for a 5/16" spade connector, I found this.
