Comparing the side shift and the tail shifter, are the gears, synchro rings, dog teeth and bearings in the intermediate plate the same? Is there any difference with the interior components? Hoping to use parts from a tail shifter on my rebuild of a side shifters. Thanks for your help.

Shift rods are different, tail cone and shift console that is it, everything else is the same.
