Sketchy details? I'm old and that's about it. Don't feel as old as the calendar says though What's 42 supposed to feel like?

Plan on celebrating by laying up under the car finishing up the transaxle R&R. Birthday present to myself is going for a drive tonight.

How about shift rods in a transmission? The spacing is sort of a hit or miss thing.

Aaah, the shift rods need to line up right with the right spacing or you're fucked. Don't line them up with the redshift tool, it don't work!

Yea Thanks Geoff. I figured that part out.

Pulled the gear stack back out and moved them some (sorta this way and that way).
Much better I can go through all the gears pretty smooth now.

Co-worker asked "why do yuo drive that car to work"?
Ans: It's the only thing that can keep up to me.
