On a serious note, you have to wonder:
During the design/initial build, did NO ONE at Porsche look at the hell hole area and think, "Hmmm. A catch basin right under the battery right under a grill? This won't end well..."
Or did some Bohnenzähler lord over that decision? screwy.gif

Could have been worse. Not sure how. Maybe a water-soluble battery case and pre-drilled drains from the hell hole into the inner long and the suspension mount.

Most came from the factory already rusting, plenty of pictures of 914’s on trains leaving the factory in wet German weather.
Entry level car who’s purpose was to get people to buy 911’s.

dry.gif True statement. And a few more that aren't pictured. When mama asks why I am buying a new air tool, I always tell her that its to work on the 914's....
